Tactical Equipment Review:
VooDoo Tactical Gun Bags
At SHOT Show this year I met the good folks at VooDoo Tactical. I had been introduced to them by the OTHER good folks at AmericanSnipers.org. The veteran snipers had a good opinion about the products from VooDoo Tactical and suggested that I might want to try them out. SO, there I was shaking hands and making arrangements. A couple weeks later I received two gunbags to try out and they’ve been holding rifles and other gear since then. The short report is, they work. The long report is... below.

SOG Knives Tiger Shark
It’s always a pleasant surprise when I find a box sitting on my steps from SOG Knives. Usually I know to at least be looking for it but this last time it was completely out of the blue. Inside were two knives: a new version of the SOG Bi-Polar folder and a SOG TigerShark. I’m still putting the Bi-Polar through some of its paces but the TigerShark I had opportunity to use and abuse and see if I could break. I was unsuccessful. First off, this is a BIG knife - to me. Second, it performed well for everything I put it through. Here’s what I did…

Contemporary Politics & America's Future
As I was reading various news and information emails that I receive each day, I came across a quote credited to Senator O'Bama that cites an unspecified group of people (that I think we can figure out) saying, "...they get bitter, they cling to guns, or religion... or anti-immigrant sentiment..." The quote is a bit longer and is cited in full (as I received it) below, but these few words got me to thinking. Long time readers won't be surprised to find out that I'm no fan of the Senator, but truth be told I'm simply not a fan of contemporary politics. I believe our government's political system has strayed far from the path originally set by our forefathers and, while I'm certainly not advocating a revolt, I believe a large change in how our government - or specifically the politics of our government - is run is necessary.
